XXXII Rafael Hervada Prize for Biomedical Research 2026

The San Rafael Foundation of A Coruña announces the XXXII edition of the Rafael Hervada Award for Biomedical research, dedicated in 2026 to the topic:

"Exposome, climate change and disease"

The prize, which is unique and indivisible, consists of a certificate and a cash award of €12.500, subject to applicable tax withholdings. The prize money will be paid to the author(s) of the winning work.

Participants

Graduates, licensed or doctoral degree holders in Health Sciences and other related disciplines, such as medicine, biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, biophysics or bioengineering, both national and foreign, may participate.

Jobs

Applications must include an original work related to the theme of the call for proposals.

The following will be accepted:

• Original articles
• PhD Theses

Reviews, book chapters, and letters to the editor will not be accepted.

Submissions may be published, in press, accepted, submitted for publication in a scientific journal, or still in preparation. They may be written in Galician, Spanish, or English.

Documentation

Applications must be accompanied by:

• Cover letter from the main author
• Letter from the institution where the project was developed
• Letter from the director of the research group in which the work was carried out.
• Application for the award according to the established model.
• A copy of the original work.

People linked to the IIS Aragón who need an institutional letter should request it well in advance.
