How does stress shape our brain? Childhood is the critical period
8 February, 2023will be granted aid for clinical studies that are developed in accredited Health Research Institutes (IIS). Each accredited Health Research Institute (IIS) may present a single project in each of the research areas covered by this call:
• Oncology, focused on immunotherapy and cancer.
• Transplants, focused on immunotolerance, xenotransplantation and organ preservation.
• Traumatology and sequelae, including neurological ones derived from trauma.
• Rare diseases, limited to those that manifest in childhood.
• Mental health, focused on childhood and adolescent disorders.
- The maximum amount that can be requested per project is 150.000 euros.
As in previous years, in order to promote collaborative research, there is a special category of aid to encourage collaboration in medical research between autonomous communities, to which a budget of 300.000 euros is allocated. Accredited Health Research Institutes (IIS) belonging to a minimum of four different autonomous communities may participate, in any of the five research fields of the general call.
They are also called five international cooperation scholarships in the field of health for medical and nursing professionals.
The main objective of these scholarships is to support these professionals, who, altruistically, will collaborate in assistance projects that non-governmental organizations have underway in developing countries.
