Beneficiary persons and entities:
Individuals or entities that meet the requirements established in this Order for each of the categories and in the rest of the applicable regulations regarding subsidies that are required of them may be awarded, provided that they carry out their research work in Aragon or maintain special ties with the Autonomous Community of Aragon and are selected in accordance with the applicable evaluation criteria.
Categories
- Aragón Investiga Award for Research Excellence “Miguel Servet”. This category is intended to recognize researchers who have distinguished themselves for their research career of excellence, carrying out nationally and internationally recognized work in the field of basic research, applied research or technology transfer.
- Aragón Investigative Prize for Young People “Blanca Catalán de Ocón”. This category is intended to recognize young researchers under 35 years of age on the date of publication of the call. The prize will be awarded considering not only the scientific achievements achieved, but also the importance and potential of the lines undertaken by the researcher. The age limit will be increased for a duration equivalent to the period of leave due to maternity or paternity, adoption, pregnancy and breastfeeding that is accredited. Likewise, in the case of research personnel with a disability equal to or greater than 33%, the age limit will be extended to 40 years.
- Aragón Award Investigates “Fidel Pagés” Entities. This category is intended to recognize those public or private organizations that have distinguished themselves for their support for research or the transfer of knowledge in Aragon. In this category, two modalities will be distinguished in this edition: Award for public organizations and Award for private organizations.
- Aragón Investiga Award for Research with a Gender Perspective “María Andresa Casamayor”. This award is intended for research projects in any area of knowledge that incorporate a gender perspective as a subject of study, whether conducted by individuals or legal entities, as well as for projects in which the integration of gender analysis has achieved significant results in the research.
- Aragón Research Award “Ramón y Cajal” to research projects that have distinguished themselves by achieving excellent results in knowledge transfer in the five years prior to this call. The award will be given to the individuals, groups, or entities that have led these research projects.
Application submission deadline: June 21 to July 31 of 2025.
