XIII EDCTP Forum on Clinical Trials and Global Health
The 13th EDCTP Forum will be held from April 5 to 9, 2027, at the IFEMA Municipal Palace (Madrid), coordinated by the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII) and the CSAI Foundation. This biennial forum is one of the leading international gatherings for global health research, focusing on infectious diseases that particularly affect sub-Saharan Africa. The event will bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and R&D partners from Europe and Africa, and will feature scientific sessions, workshops, poster presentations, and networking activities. Approximately 1.500 attendees are expected.

Information Session: European Research Infrastructures in the Health Sector (Horizon Europe)
This session will present the main new features of the 2026-2027 Work Programme, the European strategic context and the practical aspects for preparing proposals, as well as other national funding opportunities.
The event is aimed at entities managing scientific infrastructures, universities, public research bodies, technology centers, companies and any organization interested in participating in the Research Infrastructure Program.

ERC Proposal Reading Days 2026 (Madrid)
Registration is now open for the various sessions of the ERC Proposal Reading Days 2026 initiative. The first session will take place at the FECYT headquarters in Madrid on April 13, followed by a second session at the Autonomous University of Barcelona on April 28. This is a valuable opportunity for researchers interested in learning firsthand about successful European Research Council proposals and improving the preparation of their future applications.

Understanding Cancer in the Digital Age: Data, Innovation and Equity
This event, which will be held in a hybrid format from Nicosia (Cyprus), will bring together the European cancer research and care community to analyze the role of data and digital innovation in improving cancer diagnosis, treatment and equity.
The event will offer an opportunity to strengthen international collaboration, share knowledge, and discuss the challenges and opportunities in the field of cancer in Europe.
The participation of experts, researchers, and policymakers in the health sector is expected.

EUHPP Webinar – 2026 Calls for Public Health Reference Laboratories
The European Commission, through the EU Health Policy Platform (EUHPP), will organize an informative webinar on the 2026 calls for EU Reference Laboratories in public health on April 29, 2026 (15:00-16:30 CEST).
The event is aimed at public health microbiology laboratories in the EU/EEA interested in applying. During the session, representatives from the European Commission and the ECDC will provide an overview of the call for proposals, as well as guidance on the application process.
The program will include technical presentations and a question and answer session to address any doubts from potential applicants.
The webinar will be held online (Webex) and will be recorded.

XIII CDTI Conference: “Between two Programs, Horizon Europe” (Barcelona)
The CDTI is organizing the thirteenth edition of the Conference of the European Union's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP) in Spain, under the motto “Between two programs, Horizon EuropeThe event will take place on June 16 at the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya (Barcelona). It is being held in collaboration with the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the European Commission, and Acciò. As in previous editions, there will be an opportunity to receive asesoramiento personalized on Horizon Europe and agreements can also be reached meetings with other attendees to promote collaboration.
Additionally, during the Conference a poster exhibition of projects coordinated by Spanish entities that have obtained funding from Horizon Europe.
Registration to attend the Conference will be available in mid-April.

Conference on European Research Infrastructures in the field of health
The ISCIII organizes this annual event to highlight the important role of European Research Infrastructures (RIs) in health sciences research and innovation. Throughout the day, discussions will cover topics of great interest, such as the contribution of RIs to the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), the strategic value of RIs for industry, the challenges and opportunities in collaborating with technological infrastructures, and how to address the One Health challenge through RIs.
