5th EU-LAC Joint Call in STI 2025

The EU-LAC Interest Group towards the Common Research Area launches a new Joint Call to enhance the bi-regional cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation.

The aim of the Joint Call is to initiate sustainable and multilateral research cooperation between researchers from Europe, Latin-America and the Caribbean countries. Transnational consortia are invited to submit proposals related to six topics in the thematic fields of Global Challenges, Bioeconomy, Health, Energy and Open Science: (see call topics below). Regiostar Awards 2025

REGIOSTARS is the annual competition organized by DG REGIO since 2008 and has become the European seal of excellence for EU-funded projects that demonstrate the impact and inclusiveness of regional development. In 2025, projects will compete in five categories:

Bilateral Peru - Spain

Peru-Spain bilateral call for financing business research and technological development projects

Funded by the collaboration agreement signed between CONCYTEC (National Council of Science and Technology) of Peru and the CDTI of Spain. Project proposals must represent effective collaboration in research and/or technological development between companies from both countries. The proposal must be balanced between the parties, both in terms of participation in the project's R&D activities and in terms of budget; and the results must benefit all participants. Project types that will be funded:

• Development of innovative technology at pilot and/or prototype scale.

The FEBS | EMBO Women in Science Award is an initiative aimed at highlighting the important contributions of female scientists to life science research. The winners will serve as inspiring role models for future generations of female scientists.
