Mental health repercussions of the COVID-19 crisis
September 22 (12:00 - 13:00) | Register

The mental health impact of the COVID-19 crisis is a major public health concern. The spread of SARS-CoV-2 has placed unprecedented strains on society. Impressive data collection efforts have been made early-on in the crisis to investigate the mental health burden of the crisis on the Belgian population.

They have invited three leading researchers in the field to share their findings on the mental health impact during the COVID-19 crisis.

The 2022 International Conference on Research Infrastructures will take place in Brno, Czechia.

International Conference of Research infrastructures, organized jointly by the European Commission and the host country, is a major worldwide event providing an opportunity for strategic discussions about international cooperation in research infrastructure. The upcoming ICRI in 2022 will take place in Brno Czech Republic from 19 to 21 October.

We are pleased to announce, an ICRI 2022 side event dedicated to “Integrated Service for Infectious Disease Outbreak research” which will be held as a hybrid event on 19 October 2022.

European research infrastructures demonstrated a high adaptability in responding to the COVID-19 emergency, by rapidly revising their access programs and delivering new services which answer unmet needs.

As one of the first actions of the European Health Emergency preparedness and Response Authority (HERA), ISIDORe, “Integrated Services for Infectious Disease Outbreak Research”, was launched in 2022, coordinated by ERINHA the European research infrastructure dedicated to high-consequence pathogens.

The event will highlight ISIDORe's actions and showcase opportunities for accessing ISIDORe's resources, to address the challenge of any emerging or re-emerging infectious disease threat.

Registration and Agenda coming soon!

FEAM Forum Annual Lecture Digital Health and AI
October 26 | Register

Benefits and Costs of Data Sharing in the EU

Transition towards artificial intelligence and digital health. Is Europe ready?

The topic of this year's FEAM Forum Annual Lecture will be Digital Health and AI: Benefits and Costs of Data Sharing in the EU. The event will be on 26 October 2022, between 14:00 and 17:00 (CET) and will take place in a hybrid format, in Brussels and via Zoom.

Digital technology is rapidly evolving, holding great promise in improving healthcare systems. This new technology has a huge positive impact in all areas, but it also leads to major consequences and challenges on regulatory and policy frameworks. While the world has faced the outbreak of a novel coronavirus disease, by using a wide range of services – such as telemedicine, storage of electronic medical records, virtual education – digital health has contributed positively to the resilience of the healthcare system. Those tools build upon advances in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI), two major options for improving healthcare innovation.
