10 July 2024The next Tuesday July 16th It will be held first webinar for patients organized by RICORS-SAMID, with the title "Do environmental contaminants and food contaminants affect reproductive health?" This event, organized by the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital (Barcelona), aims to address the influence of the environment in sensitive stages of life, such as adolescence and fertile age, and its impact on sexual reproductive health. The webinar will be held 15:00 - 16:00 online.
The Maternal, Child and Developmental Health Network group (RICORS-SAMID) It is made up of 20 research groups and 27 associated clinical groups, and its objective is to provide a comprehensive and synergistic plan that covers hospitals and primary care for improve the health of women, mothers and babies, avoiding perinatal and developmental complications.
Webinar Summary:
La influence of the environment on sensitive stages of life, such as adolescence and fertile age, can have a determining role in the sexual and reproductive health. Exposures early in life can also determine health in adulthood. Environmental contaminants include the quality of food, the way it is preserved and also the way it is cooked. Chemical substances that act at the level of hormonal receptors can influence sexual and reproductive health. Knowing what benefits us and what harms us is a way to invest in our health and the health of our families.
