VII Manu Barrera Research Grant 2025

The Sport vs Childhood Cancer Association, with the aim of promoting and supporting scientific research in the field of Pediatric Oncohematology, announces the VII Manu Barrera Research Grant 2025, according to the following terms:

• Research papers must focus on a topic outside of pediatric oncohematology.
• The project will be developed over the course of 1 year
• The grant will be EUR 6.000; half will be paid upon award and the remainder upon completion of the work, after submission of the report on the work carried out.
• The jury evaluating the projects will be made up of members of the Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Section, the Pediatric Oncology Section and the Pediatric Hematology Section of the Central University Hospital of Asturias
• The scholarship may be left unawarded if, in the opinion of the evaluation jury, none of the projects meet the required scientific conditions.

Applicants must send all required documentation by registered mail, indicating on the envelope MANU BARRERA RESEARCH GRANT, to the following address: Sport vs Childhood Cancer, c/La Villa Romana, 12, 33458, Soto del Barco, AsturiasOne original and six copies must be submitted. The return address must not include the name or address of any of the signatories. Inside, in a separate sealed envelope bearing a slogan, the project proposal, including its corresponding timeline, title, and no author names, must be included. Another sealed envelope, also bearing the same slogan on the outside, must contain the title of the work, the authors' names, photocopies of their national identity cards, addresses, and email addresses, as well as a favorable report from the hospital or center where the project will be carried out.
