20 March, 2025The BOARD day (Be Open About Animal Research Day) It will take place on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, and the SEBBM will prepare a video with the help of anyone who wants to participate before May 25.
EARA (European Animal Research Association) has launched the fifth BOARD (Be Open About Animal Research Day) event to be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. The four previous events SEBBM has participated with several other videos in which some of the important aspects related to animal testing and transparency have been discussed or highlighted.
For this new call, the SEBBM (Spanish Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) will once again prepare a video, with your help and collaboration. This year's theme will be to select "A SUCCESSFUL EXPERIMENT", ideally one that has already been published so that it can be referred to, in which the participation of animals has been essential to achieve the results obtained.
This will, once again, be an initiative to promote transparency in animal testing, which we defend and promote as a society adhering to the COSCE Agreement on Transparency in Animal Testing.
Features that videos must have
- Horizontal engravings (not vertical!)
- Maximum length: 45 seconds (less than a minute!). Ideally, 30 seconds per video.
- Without labeling, we put the labels in the SEBBM when editing and putting together all the videos
- You can display multiple scenes, keeping the maximum time indicated
For more information on submitting videos, please contact cea@unizar.es. The maximum period of sending videos is the May 25.

Once again, more than 1.000 biomedical institutions participated.
The fourth edition of #BOARD24 had a record number of 220 partner institutions pledged their support from 48 countries on six continents (Europe, North America, South America, Oceania, Asia and Africa).
