18 March, 2022The Dravet Syndrome Foundation has launched a campaign to raise funds for research into this rare disease, an epilepsy that begins in the first year of life, leaving serious neurological consequences, and which currently has no cure. The solidarity project consists of the sale of a story, 'The story of Victronix', whose profits will go entirely to the foundation.
The author of the book is Víctor Lapiedra Álvarez, a very creative boy from Zaragoza with a great imagination who loves to make vignettes in the margins of his notebooks. This is how his stories developed, among which is this story, when he was 10 and 11 years old, when he was in 5th and 6th grade at the CEIP Montecanal in Zaragoza. For Víctor, the arrival of his cousin Martín was a turning point in his life, not only because he was dethroned as the youngest of the family, but because Martín suffers from Dravet Syndrome. So Victor found in his rich inner world a way to contribute to the research of this pathology and created Victronix, a drakhuman with a special blessing, who embarks on an adventure to fulfill the prophecy. Will he manage to save his race from the dangerous threat of the Tiburomans?
The pre-sale of the book, which will be delivered starting in May, is done from the foundation's solidarity store: https://shop.retodravet.com/index.php?id_product=136&id_product_attribute=0&rewrite=libro-la-historia-de-victronix&controller=product
