The San Juan de Dios Hospital in Zaragoza is one of the 25 hospitals in Spain that have the help of a robot to sanitize the rooms of patients with covid-19, thanks to a donation from the European Commission. Across the country, 25 disinfection robots are working around the clock to help tackle the spread of coronavirus.
They can disinfect a standard hospital room in less than 15 minutes, making the work of healthcare personnel more bearable and offering them greater protection against possible infections. The robot eliminates bacteria and viruses from surfaces with 99,9% efficiency. It also contributes to your safety, since disinfection does not require the use of corrosive or toxic chemicals.
In addition to the initial 200 robots that have been distributed throughout the different countries of the European Union, the Commission has confirmed the purchase of another 100, which will bring this fleet to a total of 300 robots.
This action is possible thanks to the European Commission's Urgent Assistance Instrument. Those hospitals treating Covid-19 patients can still request one of these robots.
