A remarkable celebration, in the Auditorium of Caja Rural de Aragón, where a review was made of the activities and actions carried out in this first year of the association, such as: Let's Leave Cancer Off the Chart and Backyard Loop PV Race. Although not only were the initiatives that give visibility and awareness about male cancer highlighted, but a Significant donation of €6.000 for the Molecular Oncology Group of the IIS Aragón, led by Alberto J. Schuhmacher.
This aid will be allocated to Virtual Biopsy Project, a breakthrough that will improve cancer diagnosis and treatment methods, based on modified antibodies to detect the presence of a biomarker that could guide treatment for some patients. The team is developing a kind of “contrast” that sticks to a tumor only if it has a biomarker, which could predict whether or not a treatment might work.
The donation reinforces TheMoveMen's commitment to scientific research and patient well-being.
