A project to study why people are getting sick is launching in Zaragoza.

The IIS Aragón is coordinating the project in the city, which will follow 4.000 people for 20 years to improve personalized and preventive medicine. The study is part of the IMPaCT Cohort, a national program promoted by the Carlos III Health Institute.

Women receive different pharmacological treatment than men after a myocardial infarction.

The research, conducted by the Aragon Health Services Research Group (GRISSA), involved nearly 4000 people who survived a first acute myocardial infarction. Researchers from the IIS Aragón and the University of Zaragoza participated in the study.
