Aspanoa invests 120.000 euros to promote new immunotherapies for childhood cancer.

It will be distributed equally between two research projects. One is led by Diego Sánchez (IIS Aragón) and the other by Eva Gálvez (CSIC) and Ramón Hurtado (BIFI – Unizar). Immunotherapy is a treatment already being applied to some cancer patients, including children, when standard therapies are insufficient.

Breastfeeding attenuates the genetic predisposition to obesity in adolescence

The 'Growth, exercise, nutrition and development (GENUD)' group (GIIS066) from the IIS Aragón and the University of Zaragoza has published a study in the journal Pediatric Obesity highlighting the protective role of breastfeeding against obesity, after analyzing data from 715 European adolescents.

The University of Zaragoza obtains 10 cutting-edge scientific equipment worth 4,4 million

One of the most notable projects is an electron microscope specifically for biological materials, which will be integrated into the General Research Support Service (SAI), directed by Ignacio Ochoa, director of the Biomedical Division of the SAI and IP of the IIS Aragón.
