A digital meeting to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science will feature the participation of Alba Royo García, a researcher at IIS Aragón, and will allow participants to learn about the work of three female scientists in cancer research.

A new species of mycobacterium has been discovered at the Miguel Servet University Hospital in Zaragoza.

Professionals from HUMS and IIS Aragón, among other institutions, participated in the research. The bacteria has been named "Mycobacterium servetii" in honor of the Renaissance physician and the hospital.

A project to study why people are getting sick is launching in Zaragoza.

The IIS Aragón is coordinating the project in the city, which will follow 4.000 people for 20 years to improve personalized and preventive medicine. The study is part of the IMPaCT Cohort, a national program promoted by the Carlos III Health Institute.
