The IIS Aragón and the association TheMoveMen sign an agreement to promote research into male cancer.

This new agreement will allow for the development of joint projects in research, outreach, and training on male cancer, strengthening the connection between science and society. This collaboration was born out of the annual grant TheMoveMen awarded last November to the "Virtual Biopsy" project, led by ARAID researcher Alberto J. Schuhmacher of the IIS Aragón.

Today, Aragón interviews Alberto Jiménez Schuhmacher, Principal Investigator of the Molecular Oncology Group at the IIS Aragón, where he is developing a cancer diagnostic technique known as "virtual biopsy" and another fluorescence-guided surgery technique. His goal is to achieve more efficient and less invasive diagnosis of the most lethal brain tumors, pancreatic cancer, and certain childhood tumors.
