The Minister of Employment, Science and Universities of the Government of Aragon, Claudia Pérez Forniés, He met with Alberto Jiménez Schuhmacher, ARAID Researcher at the Aragón Health Research Institute, and Carlos Matute Almau, President of the Spanish Society of Neuroscience.
A meeting to promote neuroscience in Aragon, and in which it has been debated the strategic, social and human importance of brain research, as well as the international projection of Spanish and Aragonese neuroscience.
Among other issues, they have talked about the brain as a key organ, which poses scientific and health challenges in the face of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, epilepsy, schizophrenia or chronic pain. Understanding it is essential for the health, innovation, and competitiveness of our autonomous community. Technological advances have opened a new era in neuroscience, and Aragon is working to position itself at the forefront of research and knowledge transfer.
