CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION – CLINICAL RESEARCH AWARDS 2025
26 March, 2025CRIS Out-Back Fellowship
26 March, 2025Since 2019, CRIS Against Cancer has launched an annual call for proposals for CRIS Research Programs. These innovative calls, endorsed by medical societies, aim to foster and attract international research talent and retain national talent in cancer with high-quality projects, exceptional funding, and a five-year duration, positioning us as a global benchmark in research funding.
The opening of the 1th edition of the CRIS Research Programs is scheduled for March 2025, 14 and will remain open until May 2025, 20. On March XNUMX, we will organize a webinar to clarify any doubts that may arise in relation to these calls. To access it, click here.
There are 3 programs:
CRIS Translational Medical Program
The financial endowment will be €400.000 spread over 5 years.
With the CRIS Translational Medical Talent Program, we aim to promote the position of physician researchers. This profile is very rare in Spain and virtually unavailable in training programs. However, their firsthand clinical knowledge and experience with patients, combined with their mastery of scientific research methodologies, make them a talented group with great potential for the development of new therapies and treatments.
The most significant changes in this call compared to the previous calls for CRIS Translational Medical Programs (formerly Translational Medical Talent or Clinical Talent) are:
- The program's name has changed from "CRIS Translational Medical Talent Programs," formerly "CRIS Clinical Talent Programs," to CRIS Translational Medical Programs.
- The publication requirement has changed.
The maximum financial endowment will be €1.250.000 spread over 5 years.
The CRIS Excellence Program will provide significant financial support to researchers with outstanding careers, enabling their consolidation as a group of Excellence and facilitating the development of translational research projects with the potential to transform the current landscape of cancer treatment.
The most significant changes in this call compared to previous years' CRIS Excellence Program calls relate to the requirements:
- Instead of requiring a number of years from the reading of the thesis, this year it is necessary to prove research independence.
- The publication requirement has changed.
The financial endowment will be €400.000 distributed over 5 years.
Researchers with some experience clearly struggle to consolidate their careers or return to Spain under competitive or stable conditions that allow them to develop and lead transformative projects. In this context, CRIS Against Cancer is launching the CRIS Emerging Leader Program, which provides competitive and incentivizing financial conditions to attract and stabilize outstanding researchers with the potential to become leaders in research and change the landscape of cancer treatment.
The most relevant changes in this call with respect to the calls for CRIS Emerging Leader Programs (formerly Post-Doc Talent) from previous years are related to the requirements:
- The number of years since the reading of the thesis has varied
- The publication requirement has changed
Deadline: 14 of May of 2025.
