11 March, 2025The Rare Disease Research Program (PINERA) provides ongoing support for research in this area with the goal of generating a scientific, clinical, and social impact on the rare disease community.
The objective of this Call is to provide funding for a multicenter, multi-year research project developed by coordinated multidisciplinary groups to gain new knowledge on any aspect of rare diseases.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- They must be research groups from healthcare or university institutions, public research organizations, or other publicly or publicly-owned, non-profit research centers in Spain that carry out their work in several centers in Spain.
- Submit a jointly coordinated project for this call, in which they may collaborate with foreign research groups.
- One of the Principal Investigators (PIs) who is part of the Consortium will act as its representative and Project Coordinator. The research entity to which the Scientific Coordinator belongs will be considered the "Coordinating Entity."
Aid conditions:
- Original and multicenter research project that does not have prior funding.
- Project duration: 3 years (initial duration of one year, extendable annually for two additional successive years subject to favorable evaluation by the Foundation's Scientific Council).
- Financial endowment: 700.000 euros.
Application
The application will be submitted by the scientific coordinator, with the approval of the coordinating entity and the other members of the consortium. The coordinator will act as the person ultimately responsible for the research project, completing an online form provided for this purpose.
All duly completed documentation must be submitted within the application deadline, which ends on September 01, 09. The application must be accompanied by the documents required in the call for proposals.
