14 April 2026CYTED is the Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development, created by the governments of Ibero-American countries to strengthen scientific and technological cooperation ties with partners in Ibero-America.
Thematic Networks are associations of research and development (R&D) groups from public or private entities and companies from the member countries of the CYTED program, whose scientific or technological activities are related within a common area of interest and framed within one of the program's areas.
CYTED's main objective is to contribute to the harmonious development of the Ibero-American region through cooperation mechanisms that seek scientific and technological results transferable to productive systems and social policies. Beneficiaries of CYTED's funding instruments can be universities, R&D centers, and innovative companies from member countries.
The coordinator must be a natural person belonging to one of these identities that have headquarters in: Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
The proposals will have a maximum duration of 4 years (48 months), and no more than EUR 20.000 can be requested for the first year.
This call for proposals covers the following concepts for Thematic Networks:
- Coordination costs (maximum EUR 2.000)
- Coordinator's Mobility
- Coordination meetings
- Mobility of participating groups
- Publications
- Training (courses, workshops, seminars and conferences)
The Network must have at least 6 different Ibero-American countries that are enrolled in the CYTED program.

The deadline for submitting applications is May 15th from 2026 at 17 hrs (local time in Madrid, Spain).
