1 December, 2023"Researching remotely: tools to participate in medical research projects" was the first training that the IIS Aragón has carried out within the "Patient in Science" project, in collaboration with FECYT Ministry of Science and Technology, in the town of Binaced.
On Wednesday, November 29, we held the first of the IIS Aragón project training sessions with the collaboration of FECYT Ministry of Science and Technology «Patient in Science». It was the workshop: “Researching remotely: tools to participate in medical research projects” with which the El Pino de Binaced Solidarity Trail Association collaborated.
In the session, in addition to providing specific training in Google collaborative tools, we were able to share with twenty residents of Binaced What is biomedical research and the importance of citizen participation and patients in research and innovation projects in the health field.
IIS Aragón we thank the Binaced City Council, the El Pino de Binaced Solidarity Trail Association and especially Sonia, María and all the women from Binaced who participated in the workshop. The citizen health research node begins in Binaced!
“Patient in Science” project, proposal selected in FECYT call
On Monday, September 25, the IIS Aragón presented «Patient in Science», project of the Institute selected in the FECYT call for aid to promote scientific, technological and innovation culture and which will run from October 2023 to June 2024.
The project seeks to enhance the interaction between citizens, patients and the research community with the objectives of increasing knowledge and understanding of science and technology in the field of health, and facilitate the participation of patients in research and innovation projects.
“Patient in Science” consists of training actions and activities in which patients and citizens in general, together with researchers, will generate solutions and content of various kinds that combine creativity and scientific rigor.
The project, which started on September 25, will end with the completion of a final gala in June 2024 where the results generated during the coming months will be presented. The project is open to all citizens, healthcare professionals, researchers and people linked to any patient association with a presence in Aragon.
