MEDES AWARDS-MEDICINE IN SPANISH 2025

This call will recognize initiatives that promote the use of Spanish in communicating health science knowledge, as well as the institutions that make achieving these goals possible.

We found two categories:

• Award for the best initiative in promoting the use of the Spanish language for the dissemination of biomedical knowledge.
• Awards for the best institution prominent in the promotion of the Spanish language as a language of biomedical knowledge (without financial endowment).

Requirements

Applicants who wish to apply for the Award for the best initiative must:

• Be Individuals or legal entities, holders of initiatives or projects that contemplate the generation of programs, innovative developments, strategies, technological utilities, etc.
• To contribute to promoting the Spanish language in the dissemination of knowledge in biomedicine and health sciences and to facilitate access in Spanish to rigorous, high-quality information in this field, whether initiated within the four calendar years prior to the current call for proposals, whether already completed or in progress.

Applicants who wish to apply for the Award for the best institution must:

• Be institutions with a minimum of two years of existence.
• To carry out work and activities that represent a significant contribution to the production and/or publication of biomedical sciences in Spanish, as well as to facilitate, promote, or sponsor the use of Spanish for the transmission of scientific knowledge in general, and biomedical knowledge in particular.

The application to opt for the “Award for the best initiative" may be submitted freely, individually by interested parties, by sending the necessary documentation by email to: convocations@fundacionlilly.com, indicating in the subject of the message: "INICIATIVA Award Application. MEDES 2025 Awards."

The application to opt for the “Award for the best institution" It will be carried out exclusively by members of the MEDES Advisory Committee and the Scientific Council of the Lilly Foundation.
