September 23, 2026The Department of Health of the Government of Aragon has called the Aragón Health Award 2026, intended to recognize the career, dedication and contribution of professionals, institutions and entities to the improvement of the health of the Aragonese population.
El Aragón Health Award Its purpose is to recognize the ongoing, high-profile, and significant work and dedication of professionals or organizations to improve the health of the people of Aragon. It represents an outstanding contribution to improving the level of health in Aragon and, therefore, a model of excellence in Aragonese society.
Types of the "Aragón Health Award":
- "Aragon Health Award 2025", to recognize professional or institutional achievements, for outstanding work in favor of people's health, understood in a comprehensive way considering their dedication and professional prestige
- «Aragon Health Award for Innovation«: whose purpose is to recognize the transformative and improvement contributions in the field of the Aragon Health System in relation to methodology, processes, quality, technological advances, discoveries in favor of health in Aragon.
- «Aragon Health Award for health initiatives at the local and community level, which aims to recognize actions related to the determinants of individual or collective health carried out by local entities or groups of entities as well as local or community health initiatives carried out by organizations, the healthcare system or other third sector entities.
- "Aragon Health Award for Equity", intended to recognize high-impact health initiatives that incorporate approaches and strategies related to the determinants and axes of health inequality.
- "Aragon Health Award for the promotion of knowledge, information and communication"whose purpose is to recognize the work done in the dissemination of health content, in its different formats, with a clear impact on Aragonese society."
Requirements
Nominations may be submitted by natural or legal persons, groups of persons, entities or institutionsthat endorse the proposal of another person or entity as a candidate, based on their track record in the health sector, the importance of the project, or an action aimed at improving the health of people living in the Autonomous Community of Aragon. Under no circumstances may the proposing institutions submit their own candidacy or that of another institution or individual with whom they have a direct link.
The applications will be addressed to the General Directorate of Public Health of the Department of Health and will generally be submitted through the Electronic Headquarters of the Government of Aragon, by means of procedure 11187.
It will be necessary to present the Annex I accompanied by a memory of a maximum of 10 pages, which includes the candidate's background, the importance of the project or action, the category being applied for, and the motivation for the proposal.
The "Aragón Health Award" is an honorary award and, for all categories, will consist of a certificate and symbolic recognition with no monetary value.
