Resolution of June 24, 2026, of the Aragon Health Research Institute Foundation (IIS Aragon), announcing a position for Senior Technician ISCiii [Ref. HR-26/030]
Required requirements:
- Hold a Higher Level Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent in the professional families of Health, Safety and Environment, Agriculture or related qualifications related to the handling of experimental animals.
- Accredited training in accordance with Royal Decree 53/2013 and Order ECC/566/2015 for the performance of care (function a) and euthanasia (function b) functions in experimental animals, particularly rodents.
The main functions to be developed are:
- Performing cleaning, disinfection, routine maintenance and basic preparation of workspaces, facilities and animal facility materials related to the execution of the project.
- Handling, care and basic monitoring of experimental animals, mainly rodents, in accordance with the provisions of RD 53/2013 and applicable regulations.
- Support in monitoring the condition of the animals and in observation tasks related to animal welfare.
- Operational support in the execution of experimental procedures, including the preparation of animals, materials and workspaces.
- Support in the operational management of colonies: identification, registration, traceability and updating of animal facility databases linked to the project.
- Collaboration in the operational processing of supply orders, receipt of material and monitoring of stock necessary for the execution of the project.
- Maintenance and updating of technical records and documentation associated with the project and the animal facility tasks linked to it.
- Application of biosafety standards, prevention of occupational risks and good practices in animal experimentation, in accordance with established protocols.
