Resolution of June 18, 2026, of the Aragon Health Research Institute Foundation (IIS Aragon), announcing a position for Senior Technician ISCiii [Ref. HR-26/028]
Required requirements:
- Possession of the title of Senior Technician in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory.
- One year of professional experience in multipurpose cohort studies, collection and management of research data, sample management and support for tasks related to observational epidemiological studies
health research.
The main functions to be developed are:
The tasks covered by the contract will be carried out at the IMPaCT Node in Zaragoza, exclusively within the framework of the IMPACT-IC project/line and under the direction of the Principal Investigator or the responsible persons designated in the project.
- Processing and management of biological samples, including reception, registration, coding, centrifugation, fractionation (aliquoting of blood, serum, plasma, urine and other biological fluids) and preservation according to established protocols, under the supervision of the project management.
- Performing the registration and tracking of biological samples through the project's information systems, communicating incidents to the responsible personnel.
- Collaboration in the organization and maintenance of biological inventories, filing systems and control of cryogenics and ultra-freezing equipment.
- Support in the logistics and technical coordination tasks necessary for the transport of samples between the participating centers, ensuring compliance with the pre-analytical conditions established in the study protocols.
- Execution of analytical laboratory techniques included in the project (ELISA, clinical biochemistry, extraction and quantification of nucleic acids or other related techniques), always following standardized work procedures.
- Preparation of reagents, solutions, calibrators and necessary controls, as well as collaborating in the operation, calibration and basic maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.
- Performing the introduction, review and quality control of analytical data in the project databases according to established procedures.
- Application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), biosafety standards and current regulations on the protection of personal data and confidentiality.
- Collaboration in the management of stocks, replenishment of consumable material and control of reagents for the project.
Any other technical support tasks related to the position that may be assigned to him/her by the Principal Investigator, within the scope of his/her position.
