Aragón participates in a study that demonstrates that colonoscopy and fecal occult blood testing are equivalent for detecting colorectal cancer.

Researchers from Clínic-IDIBAPS and the University Hospital of the Canary Islands have coordinated a study of 57.000 people that demonstrates that both strategies are similar for detecting colorectal cancer within screening programs. The COLONPREV project involved researchers from the Aragón Health Research Institute (IIS Aragón).

The Miguel Servet University Hospital in Zaragoza launches a pioneering program to assist patients with blindness.

The Excelsiov project, supported by Roche Farma, enables more efficient care for macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema. The IIS Aragón will analyze the program's results and disseminate the ophthalmological care model.
