On Friday, September 25, the celebration of the tenth edition of Wanderlust begins at CaixaForum.
The covid pandemic has highlighted the importance of Science and research for our society. Scientists around the world are striving to find a vaccine against the virus and put a stop to the biggest health crisis in recent times. Despite the restrictions, Zaragoza wants to continue paying tribute to Science with an expanded edition this year of The European Researchers' Night. The celebration of the 10th edition of Wanderlust, organized by Esciencia, will begin this coming Friday, September 25 at CaixaForum. Subsequently, on November 27, Zaragoza will join the rest of the European cities in the global call for the European Researchers' Night. A delay caused by the coronavirus that will allow this year in Aragon to have more than one Researchers' Night. The activities on November 27 will also take place at CaixaForum.
The tenth edition of Wanderlust held in Aragon, organized by Esciencia, will have this year's motto A journey to discover. This project is one of the two that Europe has granted to the city of Zaragoza, along with another one led by the University of Zaragoza.
Throughout the day on September 25 there will be scientific demonstrations, workshops, shows, conferences and a lot of science at CaixaForum. It is worth highlighting this year the participation of three researchers from the Marie Sklodowska-Curie program, which finances the training of the most brilliant people in research in Europe. The attendance in previous editions has exceeded 10.000 people. This year, due to covid-19, attendance at activities will be carried out in controlled groups and by appointment. The capacity will be reduced to 50%. Family units will be able to participate together in the activities. The organization will take extreme safety and hygiene measures against the virus.
On the 25th, from 16.00:20.00 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., CaixaForum will host experiments related to Nanoscience so that the whole family can immerse themselves in a small-scale world. There will also be activities related to agri-food research and will teach how science can help protect biodiversity and help us eat healthily. Throughout the afternoon there will also be Kikiriciencia and Esciencia workshops, as well as a magic show by Carlos Madrid or The mystery of Perfilina from the CSIC Aragón, a game in which you will have to solve Hall Escape-type enigmas. Attendees will also be able to discover the secrets of classical mechanics through a juggling show for the whole family.
