MENTAL HEALTH AWARD 2025

This call will fund projects aimed at validating novel markers with a clear therapeutic concept and a solid biological justification related to early intervention in anxiety, depression, and/or psychosis.

Requirements

Applicants may be research teams that:

• Belong to any country, except China.
• Belong to any discipline relevant to the research field (considering that a wide range of disciplines are relevant to mental health).
• Be affiliated with a non-profit organization (academic, research institute, healthcare institution, or other research organization).
• Generate data that support the therapeutic potential of the marker in the development of new and improved drug treatments.

Participation is encouraged from:

• Research Staff at any stage of their career, including those new to the field of mental health sciences.
• Diverse and interdisciplinary teams, with collaborations covering multiple areas of expertise (e.g., biological, psychological, and social).

Application

The application will be made electronically through the application platform by attaching the preliminary application form in two phases:

1. Expression of interest must be submitted before 15/04/2025.
2. Submission of complete proposal before 31/07/2025.
