The Aragonese community of disseminators, researchers and innovators met again this Tuesday around the award ceremony of the fifth edition of the Third Millennium Awards. A contest that, according to Pilar Perla, coordinator of the supplement, said at the opening, allows this ecosystem "to see itself, in awards that we all win, united in the common enterprise that is to build the future hand in hand with science." .
A total of seven projects that represent the vast scientific ecosystem of the Community were honored throughout the evening that was held at the headquarters of Caja Rural de Aragón. More than 60 candidates participated in this fifth edition of the contest organized by HERALDO, which was sponsored by Atlas Copco, Coviar, Fersa, Magapor and Ariño Duglass. Tercer Milenio disseminates science, technology and innovation every Tuesday thanks to the support of the Government of Aragon and Itainnova since its inception in 1993.

Dissemination as a "path to knowledge"
"Scientific dissemination is a way to understand knowledge." Those were the words of Inmaculada Yruela, awarded in this category for her 'Biomolecules in dance' workshop. This can be carried out in many ways and the traditional scientific monologues of other editions were replaced by a show of the Aunt Helena Puppets that delighted the attendees who filled the auditorium of the Caja Rural de Aragón to attend to a new edition of the Third Millennium Awards.
Thus, a particular Ramón y Cajal reviewed various stages of his life until he met his younger self at the climax of the story. The representation served as a call to awaken curiosity from childhood, but also to be patient when carrying out investigations. The little play was full of humorous moments that caused the audience to laugh, such as the episode with the cannon that cost Cajal as a child two days in prison in Ayerbe. These experimental 'antics' put him on the path to the place he now occupies in history and allowed him to fulfill his dream of becoming "the king of thought."
