At its meeting this Wednesday, the Government Council authorized the collaboration agreement between the Department of Education, Culture and Sports of the Government of Aragon and the Aragon Health Research Institute Foundation (FIISA) for the development of multidisciplinary research projects in the anthropological collections of museums managed by the Autonomous Community.
The Department of Education, Culture and Sports will provide FIISA with access to the study of anthropological collections that are part of the funds of regional museums and will facilitate researchers taking samples from said collections, ensuring that the impact is the minimum essential. for the sake of the conservation of materials.
FIISA, through the GIIS099 Research Group Medical and Genetic Research (MGR) undertakes to explain the origin of the materials used in its research.
This agreement arises from the common interest of both entities in collaborating to carry out specific studies framed in public health research projects and/or programs, specifically in the development of multidisciplinary programs on the historical anthropological collections of the museums dependent on the Government of Aragon. .
