15 January 2024The objective of this program is the granting of aid aimed at groups that wish to organize scientific meetings or conferences in a research area related to some of the journals of “The Company of Biologist” (Desarrollo, Revista de Ciencia Celular, Revista de Biología Experimental , Disease Models and Mechanisms and Open Biology).

Applicant requirements: Groups that wish to organize meetings, workshops, conferences or other types of events in a research area related to the topics of some of the magazines of “The company of Biologist”.
Requests:
The call has these deadlines for the submission of applications in 2024:
- March 8, 2024 (decision dated May 6, 2024).
- May 17, 2024 (for events after July 8, 2024).
- August 2, 2024 (for events after October 7, 2024).
- November 8, 2024 (for events after January 2025, date to be determined).
Financial endowment:
- Support for scientific meetings (maximum £6.000, depending on number of participants): will fund a wide variety of activities such as face-to-face, hybrid or virtual meetings, workshops and conferences. The grant may cover expenses such as a keynote speaker, travel expenses for early career researchers, or to reduce registration fees. Priority will be given to applications in which organizers include a virtual element, promoting inclusivity, accessibility and sustainability of the event. These grants may receive funding of up to £6.000, depending on the number of participants.
- Support for sustainable conferences (maximum £2.500): will fund a wide range of activities, including: meetings, workshops, conferences, seminars, training and networking, including innovative ideas that allow attendees to collaborate proactively while minimizing their impact on the environment (reduced travel needs, increased accessibility, improved interaction in virtual meetings).
