The ninth edition of the El Pino Solidarity Trail was a resounding success. held this Sunday in Binaced. Sport and solidarity have gone again united by a common cause with 17.000 euros raised intended for Aragon Health Research Institute (IIS Aragon) and, specifically, like last year, pediatric oncology research line project.
Among the nine editions celebrated has been reached the spectacular collection of 97.000 euros with the same goal as oncological research. Next year it will take place the tenth anniversary of the event, which is the “prodigious decade”, and as he claims Maria Barrabes, promoter of the same, "We want to celebrate it in style, We are growing year after year, we have earned a name for ourselves in the area and the goal is to exceed 100.000 euros”, something that, given what we have seen and the popularity that this festival of “brotherhood, sport and solidarity” has found, should not be complicated.

The change of dates in recent years, passing the race from autumnal November to spring March, has successfully contributed to the growth of the test, since the landscape through which the race runs at this time is truly more striking, spectacular and colorful in full bloom, with the almond trees illuminated and the fruit trees with that special flavor that announces a good harvest.
The longest race of the event (20 kilometers) It shares its first kilometers with the 8K, runs through the Saso de las Brujas area, offering spectacular views of the San Salvador reservoir until reaching Binaced. The 8 kilometers of the Vuelta al Pino They start from the town of Binacetense, visiting points of interest in the town such as the Hermitage of Santa Ana, the Pine Tree, the Castle of La Mora and La Parra, all connected through spectacular fields of almond trees in full bloom.
The route of the walk The route heads towards Los Paraísos, then takes the private path that climbs towards the water reservoir and crosses the almond grove towards Saso del Pino. The route climbs halfway up Saso and from there heads towards Pino, offering two alternative routes. From Pino, the route descends to the chapel to cheer on the 20K runners. The route continues down to the almond groves to cheer on the 8K runners and finishes by passing through La Serreta.
The organization, in charge of the CD Santa Ana of Binaced, with the collaboration and support of Binaced Town Hall, Cinca Medio Region, Huesca, La Magia, Nativity Scene Cultural Association, Eliana Association, Santa Ana Parents' Association, as well as the rest of the different local associations and companies that have joined forces for the successful performance of the El Pino Solidarity Trail one more year.
