The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has confirmed the problems detected by the Organization of Consumers and Users related to the lack of information and the dubious claims for the treatment of joint pain of the nutritional supplements Flexa Plus Óptima and Flexa Plus New .
According to the AESAN, these two online sales supplements are products of unknown origin and composition with unauthorized claims; In fact, a food supplement cannot be attributed properties to prevent, treat or cure a disease. But it was also detected that its marketing had not been notified to the authorities and that the person responsible for the marketing company was not identified.
As reported by the Organization of Consumers and Users in a press release, it recommends that those who have purchased them stop taking them, since the safety of their ingredients cannot be assured. Furthermore, the presence of unauthorized active substances ingested in sufficient quantities can produce adverse reactions of varying severity.
In addition, the advertising of Flexa Plus, both Óptima and News, also violates the rules:
It mentions several ingredients, such as dandelion, tricolor violet and maca root, but none of them have authorized claims of healthy effects on the joints.
It attributes to the product properties of preventing, treating or curing a human disease, which is contrary to the legislation on fair information practices.
All this makes Flexa Plus an unsafe and illegal product, which should not be consumed.
