12 May 2026The donation will support the work of IIS Aragón researcher Naiara Perurena Aizcorbe on therapeutic resistance and metastasis. The remainder of the funds raised has been donated to Aspanoa.
The town of Campo in Huesca has once again demonstrated its commitment to cancer research through the 4th March Against Cancer, a solidarity initiative that has allocated 5.000 euros to the Aragon Health Research Institute (IIS Aragon) to support the researcher's work Naiara Perurena Aizcorbe.
The donation will contribute to the development of the project “Therapeutic resistance and metastasis”Led by Perurena, who was selected during the fundraising ceremony. Three research projects were presented at this meeting, and the attendees decided that this year's contribution to the IIS Aragón would be allocated to this line of work. The remainder of the donation has been allocated to Aspanoa, an organization that supports children with cancer and their families.
The donation was presented last Saturday in Campo, at an event attended by representatives of the beneficiary organizations and the march organizers. The Amoranza Association expressed its gratitude to everyone who, once again, contributed to this charitable initiative, whether by participating in the march, the community meal, purchasing lottery tickets or charity desserts, helping with the organization, or spreading the word about the various activities.
The Campo Cancer Walk has become a well-established initiative supporting research and providing support to patients and their families. Thanks to the collaboration of local residents and the commitment of the municipality's social fabric, each edition allows for continued fundraising to advance knowledge of the disease and support those living with it.
From IIS Aragón we thank the Amoranza Association and all the people who have made this new contribution possible for their support of cancer research.
