The researcher from IIS Aragón and president of ICAPEM received the award along with Dr. Pilar Garrido at the 15th edition of the awards organized by La Razón.
El CLARISSE project, promoted by the Association for Women's Lung Cancer Research (ICAPEM), in collaboration with PharmaMar, has received the Award for Research in Small Cell Lung Cancer with a Gender Perspective in the 15th Edition of the A TU SALUD Awards, organized by La Razón.
The award was accepted by the Dr. Dolores Isla, principal investigator of the Medical Oncology group of the Lozano Blesa University Clinical Hospital (GIIS025) of the Aragon Health Research Institute (IIS Aragon) and president of ICAPEM, and by the Dr. Pilar Garrido, medical oncologist and head of the Medical Oncology Service at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid.
The awards ceremony took place during a gala that brought together more than 800 Attendees and which once again highlighted the work of professionals, entities and initiatives that contribute to the advancement of health, research and health innovation.
Recognition of the CLARISSE project It highlights the importance of continuing to advance knowledge about small cell lung cancer, as well as the need to incorporate a gender perspective into cancer research. This approach is key to moving towards more accurate, equitable research that is aligned with the real needs of patients.
From ICAPEM They emphasized that this award belongs to the entire research and professional community that made the development of CLARISSE possible. Their collaborative work continues to contribute to generating knowledge about this complex disease and to reinforcing the role of research as a fundamental tool for improving the approach to lung cancer.
The award also represents recognition of the commitment of researchers like Dr. Dolores Isla, whose career is closely linked to promoting lung cancer research and raising awareness of the gender perspective in oncology.
