12 December, 2025We are sharing this news from the Government of Aragon about the campaign that aims to give voice to the feelings experienced during a hospitalization process.
The General Directorate of Care and Humanization of the Department of Health of the Government of Aragon has presented this week the campaign 'What I never told you', an initiative designed to improve the emotional experience of people admitted to public hospitals in the Autonomous Community.
This project, developed in collaboration with social entities and specialists in emotional well-being, aims to give voice to the feelings that commonly occur during a hospitalization process.
As explained by the Director General of Care and Humanization, Estíbaliz Tolosa, through participatory actions, testimonial materials and spaces for expression, "the campaign seeks to strengthen the bond between patients, families and healthcare professionals, placing emotional care at the center of healthcare."
'What I Never Told You' will be rolled out gradually in all public hospitals in Aragon. The campaign aims to act as an emotional bridge, fostering closeness, support, and compassion during moments of particular vulnerability.
This initiative was created by Bienestar Emocional and The Move Men, two NGOs committed to volunteering and support, and has the involvement of the General Directorate of Care and Humanization.
Among its actions, this month it will include that patients admitted to public hospitals in Aragon receive a personalized Christmas greeting, made by boys and girls from more than 20 schools throughout the Autonomous Community.
Transformative value
The campaign was presented this Wednesday, December 3, at the Caja Rural headquarters in Zaragoza, with the participation of the general director of Care and Humanization, Estíbaliz Tolosa, and the promoters of the project, Javier Alcázar, president of the NGO The Move Men, and Estela Millán, specialist in emotional well-being.
Both speakers explained the transformative value of this initiative. A patient's first-hand account was also shared to highlight the importance of emotional support during hospital stays.
With this project, Aragon takes another step towards consolidating a more humane, approachable, and person-centered healthcare model. 'What I Never Told You' aims to become a lasting tool for transforming the hospital experience, reminding us that health also involves emotion, listening, and support.
