Representatives of the Spanish Association Against Cancer In Zaragoza they came last week to learn more about the projects they finance. The researcher from the Metabolism and Tumor Stem Cells group, Patricia Sancho, explained his career in the Aragon Health Research Institute (IIS Aragón) and the projects it has underway. He spoke about the projects funded with the support of the AECC and highlighted his latest project on the “Role of lipid metabolism in the aggressiveness of pancreatic cancer”, an innovative study that seeks new ways to combat this disease.
They also visited the Biomedical Research Center of Aragon (CIBA), where they were guided by Marina Frutos y Alida Monreal, from the AMIB group, to learn about some of the laboratories in which the IIS Aragón research activity is carried out.
