Juan Olivenza will run from Logroño to Huelva in favor of research in pediatric oncology

This father who recently looked into the abyss of cancer, with his daughter's illness, began the "My goal, your smile" challenge on January 26, in 26 stages. The funds raised will go to the IIS Aragón and the “Cris Foundation against cancer.”.

To support the research, in this case in the child cancer, Juan Olivenza, a father who recently looked into the abyss of this disease, begins a solidarity challenge tomorrow. “My goal, your smile"is an initiative that will come out tomorrow, at 08:00 in the morning, with the hope of a father who will heading to Huelva at the stroke of a shoe.

Throughout 2023, Juan toured La Rioja holding races, events, sports rallies, raffles and markets to raise awareness about this disease that affects more than 1.500 children a year throughout Spain, as well as to spread the work of FARO, whose objective continues to be to improve the quality of life of children with cancer, promoting the protection and care of them and their families in the different phases of the disease.

A large number of small and large volunteers have joined this solidarity challenge, sports clubs, town councils and anonymous people who, with their effort and altruism, have raised more than 15.500 euros.

The funds raised by this entire group of committed people, encouraged by Juan, will be allocated to the pediatric oncology research projects carried out at the “Aragón Health Research Institute Foundation (IIS Aragón)” and “Cris Foundation against cancer.” and to consolidate and promote the programs that the association carries out with all members of the families of children with cancer
