Scientific Direction


Act as the highest representative and spokesperson of the Foundation, in scientific matters.

Direct, plan and lead the scientific policy of the Foundation for which you will be responsible to the Management Committee and the Board of Trustees.

Ensure the quality of the research carried out at the Institute, and that it is developed following the ethical principles of behavior, both in terms of research activities.

Promote translational research, and cooperation between the Foundation's groups, and the transfer of research results to the industrial and commercial field.

Coordinate the scientific evaluation of research lines, groups and projects.

Prepare the Annual Scientific Report and inform the Board of Trustees of the groups' performance in accordance with the objectives of the research programs.

Develop and prepare the annual operational programs jointly with the Executive Director, especially with regard to scientific and strategic aspects of research.

Executive Management


Direct, organize, coordinate and develop the activities of the Foundation, executing the guidelines of the Board of Trustees and the Management Committee.

Manage the internal organization of the Foundation and its research infrastructure.

Develop and prepare the annual operational programs together with the Scientific Director, especially with regard to costs, planned sources of financing and the annual budget of the Foundation.

Inform and report to the Board of Trustees on the development of the Foundation's activities and research programs, as far as its powers are concerned.

Direct the management of material and human resources to achieve maximum resource efficiency in supporting research.

Propose the Foundation Budget.

Direct the economic, budgetary, financial, patrimonial and accounting management of the Foundation.
