8 January 2025EDCTP3: Global Health EDCTP3 Work Program 2025 is published
8 January 2025On 11 December 2024, the IHI Governing Board adopted the IHI Work Program for 2025. This includes the call texts for calls 9 and 10, which will be launched in mid-January 2025. The final versions of the call texts are available below – applicants you should read these carefully. Links to the relevant pages of the Funding and Tenders Portal will be published when the calls are officially launched.
IHI call 9 – a single-stage, applicant driven call
IHI call 9 will be a single-stage, applicant-driven call with five topics aligned with the five specific objectives set out in the IHI Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). For this call, we want applicants to explore the SRIA and identify untapped opportunities that could be transformed into public-private projects through IHI.
Proposals will still have to adhere to the philosophy of IHI. In other words, they will have to:
- Address an unmet public health need.
- Requires a large-scale, ambitious, cross-sector, public-private partnership.
- Have clearly-described impacts on society, the economy and science.
- Take account of the pre-competitive nature of IHI projects.
Deadline: 29 April 2025.
IHI call 10 – a standard, two-stage call
IHI call 10 will be a standard, two-stage call for proposals with the following topics:
- Digital label: one source of comprehensive information for medical technology products.
- Enabling and safeguarding innovation in secondary use of health data in the European Health Data Space (EHDS).
- Per -and Poly- fluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) exposure, emissions, and end of life management in the healthcare sector.

Deadline (Full Proposal): 14 October 2025.
