August 5, 2026The European Commission has opened the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actiones (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026 call (HORIZON-MSCA-2026-PF-01), aimed at supporting the careers of excellent researchers through research projects and international mobility, developed in collaboration with a host entity in the academic or non-academic sector.
The grants are aimed at researchers with a doctorate and a maximum of 8 years of research experience since obtaining it. The MSCA mobility rule applies: the researcher may not have resided or carried out their main activity in the host country for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to the closing date.
The call for applications includes two options:
- European Postdoctoral Fellowships: for researchers of any nationality who travel to Europe from any country or between European countries. They last from 12 to 24 months.
- Global Postdoctoral Fellowships: for nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States or countries associated with Horizon Europe. They include a 12- to 24-month phase in a third non-associated country and a mandatory 12-month return phase to Europe.
Applications are submitted jointly by the researcher and the host beneficiary entity.
