August 5, 2026The European Commission has opened the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks 2026 call (HORIZON-MSCA-2026-DN-01), which aims to fund international doctoral programs to train a new generation of highly qualified researchers through joint research and training projects.
Networks should be made up of international consortia that may include universities, research centers and infrastructures, companies - including SMEs - and other socio-economic actors, promoting collaboration between the academic and non-academic sectors and the acquisition of scientific and transversal skills.
The call for applications includes three modalities:
- Doctoral Networks (DN): joint doctoral training programs developed by international networks.
- Industrial Doctorates (ID): doctoral training with participation from the academic and business sectors.
- Joint Doctorates (JD): integrated doctoral programs that lead to joint, double or multiple degrees.
The MSCA Doctoral Networks are open to the participation of organizations from third countries, promoting the establishment of international strategic alliances for the training and mobility of researchers.
Deadline: November 24, 2026, at 17:00 p.m. (Brussels time).
