August 5, 2026The European Research Council (ERC) has opened the ERC Advance Grants 2026 call (ERC-2026-AdG), aimed at leading and established researchers with a track record of significant scientific achievements and the ability to develop highly ambitious and innovative cutting-edge research projects.
The call is open to all areas of knowledge, without predefined thematic priorities, and scientific excellence is the only evaluation criterion.
The grants can reach up to €2,5 million over five years, with the possibility of additional funding in certain justified circumstances. The 2026 call for proposals is financed through a lump sum approach.
