20 February, 2026This initiative supports innovative research from emerging researchers around the world to incorporate new perspectives in our pursuits of scientific understanding and progress.
This program provides financial support to the institutions of 3 junior faculty researchers for a 2-year period. Each award is funded up to USD 130.000 to be paid in annual installments of up to USD 65.000 per year for 2 years.
Eligibility criteria:
- Hold a Medical Degree (MD), DO or PhD (or equivalent) at the time of the application submission
- For candidates who are clinicians, they should be no more than 7 years post PhD or 12 years post-graduation from medical school
- For candidates who are not clinical doctors, they should be no more than 7 years post PhD
- Have a research mentor with extensive experience in their field (co-mentorship is accepted)
- Have institutional support that demonstrates you can devote 50% of professional time to research in general (vs. administrative, patient care or teaching responsibilities)
- Demonstrate a strong career interest in HIV research
- Be able to complete the research within the 2-year award period, providing evidence for future research projects
Applicants must reside in one of the following eligible counties/regions:
- Europe
- Canada
- Australia
