DBS PROJECT SUMMARY: As a general objective, the project has pursued the development of new minimally invasive clinical analysis procedures, facilitating the development of screening and control methods that are more patient-friendly.
As specific objectives, it is worth mentioning:
● Implement the use of DBS or similar specimens to determine the level of metals in biological fluids of patients with prostheses, without the need for said patients to go to the Hospital.
● Study the use of these specimens to develop methods based on copper isotopic analysis that allow improving the diagnosis of Wilson's disease.
● Communicate the results to Hospitals and clinical laboratories so that they can apply the developed methodology
