I Research and Innovation Conference for Residents in Aragon

Coming soon, from 8 al 29 de mayo out of 2024, will take place I Research and Innovation Conference for Residents in Aragon, following in the wake of the days of the last five years of the Miguel Servet Clinical Hospital.

The deadline for receiving communications and proposals for the Awards has been extended until May 6

Along with the Conferences, the Resident Research and Innovation Awards, with the following categories:

• Communications on research in Medical Services and Primary Care
• Communications on research in Surgical Services
• Communications on research in Central Services
• Innovation project proposals

There will be a first prize of €300 for the best communication and two second prizes of €150, selected from the three categories of research communications, and a prize of €150 for the best innovation project proposal.

Communications can only be sent using the form attached at the bottom of the page (the name of the file sent will follow the following rule: JornadaInvestigacion_APELLIDOS DEL PRIMER AUTHOR) and sending it to the following email address: innovacion@iisaragon.es.

The deadline for submitting communications ENDS on 06/05/2024 (new date)

First session, Wednesday, May 8, 13:00 p.m., “Starting to investigate. The model of my doctorate. Ethics and scientific communication” 2 hours long.

• Presentation 1: “Optimal writing of research articles: how to get them published” (Silvia Izquierdo. Head of the Genetics Section of the Clinical Biochemistry Service. President of the HUMS Research and Innovation Commission)
• Presentation 2: “Doctorate: thesis vs compendium of articles” (Fernando Sanz. Director of the Doctoral School of the University of Zaragoza)
• Presentation 3: “CEICA: ethical evaluation of research projects” (María González, Secretary of the Clinical Research Ethics Committee of Aragon. IACS.)

Second session, Wednesday, May 15, 13:00 p.m., “Investigating in Aragon. The Aragon Health Research Institute (IIS Aragón)” 2 hours long.

• Presentation 1: “How is a research project prepared?” (Cristina Paulés. Gynecologist at the Lozano Blesa University Clinical Hospital in Zaragoza and member of the group Maternal and Fetal Health research group of the IIS Aragón. Zaragoza's University)
• Presentation 2: «How and why to be part of an IIS Aragón research group. Calls for research projects» (Sergio Cervero. Coordinator of the Projects and Scientific Management Unit)
• Presentation 3: «Importance of clinical research and clinical trials» (Eva López. Coordinator of the Clinical Research Unit)

Third session, Wednesday, May 22, 13:00 p.m., “From my healthcare activity and my research to innovation” 2 hours long.

• Presentation 1“Easy innovation in the healthcare field. CIR Methodology” (Rafael Continente. Technician of the Innovation and CSR Unit of the IIS Aragón)
• Presentation 2: “Protection of research and innovation results and transfer” (Gustavo Fúster Olaguibel. Hoffmann Eitle)
• Presentation 3: “From my research to innovation and collaboration with other actors: quadruple helix model of innovation” (Carlos Lapuerta. Manager of the Aragon Health Cluster -ARAHEALTH-)

fourth session, Wednesday, May 29, 13:00 p.m., CIBA Assembly Hall: “Presentation of TOP communications and awards ceremony” 2,5 hours long.

• Inauguration: Minister of Health of the Government of Aragon Mr. José Luis Bancalero Flores
• Presentation: «Research career. The clinical researcher." (Dr. Ángel Lanas, Scientific Director of the IIS Aragón)
• Presentations of the best selected research communications
• Presentation of the best innovation project proposals
• Awards “Research and Innovation Awards for Residents”

Agapé/gift raffle among attendees who answered the questions during the virtual sessions

Scientific Comittee.
