This course is aimed at Health professionals, and/or Researchers in the biomedical field and health sciences, as well as professionals assigned to research groups at the IIS Aragón, who require the use of this type of methodology to carry out their work. researcher.
The maximum number of participants will be 18 people. As this is a mixed course (includes a live online session), students must be familiar with the use of distance learning platforms, as well as have an average level of internet use.
The selection criteria will be:
– HEALTH professionals who belong to a research group.
– HEALTH professionals who wish to start research work.
– Professionals assigned to IIS Aragón research groups not included in the two previous groups who develop clinical or basic research and with preference for emerging groups.
– Pre-registration Order.
In the selection, an attempt will be made to guarantee that the different health sectors of Aragon are represented in the activity.
General objectives
Provide basic statistical tools for research in health sciences.
Specific objectives
– Understand the basic nature of data and statistical variables.
– Learn to import and manage databases in the jamovi environment.
– Correctly carry out a descriptive analysis of both quantitative and qualitative variables, as well as illustrate it with the appropriate graphs.
– Understand the concept and importance of confidence intervals as a basic estimation technique.
– Know the bases of the main hypothesis contrast tests.
– Identify the regression models most frequently used for the statistical analysis of data in health sciences according to the study variable or type of study.
