Basic Course in Cytometry

Flow cytometry is a simple but very informative and versatile cell analysis technique that allows the study of everything from the expression of certain proteins in the cell to its metabolism or proliferative capacity, all in a fast way, studying multiple individual cells and determining different parameters simultaneously.

Cytometry not only allows us to study cells, but also offers us the possibility of separating those that interest us within a mixture of cell types, which makes it a fundamental technique in cell biology research projects.

Cytometry has also been adapted to other applications outside of cell study; thus, multiplex analysis has been developed that allows us to quantify the concentration of proteins in biological fluids by cytometry, perform genotyping studies and microRNA levels among other applications.

This course is aimed at Health professionals, and/or Researchers in the biomedical field and health sciences, as well as professionals assigned to research groups at the IIS Aragón, who require the use of this type of methodology to carry out their work. researcher.

The maximum number of participants will be 18. As this is a blended learning course (including online and in-person sessions), students should be familiar with the use of distance learning platforms and have an intermediate level of internet skills.
