Course – Multivariate Analysis in Biomedical Studies: Linear and Logistic Regression Models (jamovi)


Statistics plays a fundamental role in biomedical research by providing the necessary tools to analyze and understand complex data related to health and medicineIn this context, the appropriate application of statistical techniques allows meaningful conclusions to be drawn from clinical experiments, epidemiological studies, and pharmacological trials.
This course on linear regression and logistic regression is designed to teach you the fundamentals and practical applications of the two most widely used statistical models in biomedical research. We'll model and predict patient responses using real-world datasets, analyzing how different variables can influence their health outcomes. We'll apply various modeling, evaluation, and model validation techniques. You'll learn to interpret model coefficients, assess prediction accuracy, and use Jamovi to implement these models in a data analysis context.
In this course we use the Jamovi software. (jamovi.org). It is a software that offers a graphical user interface (GUI) using menus and dialog boxes. Basic knowledge (importing data, modifying variables, and basic knowledge of statistical inference) is essential for this activity.
