El Aragon Health Research Institute in collaboration with University of Navarra Clinic y CYBER organized from the October 16 until 18 December the course of Advances in lipid metabolism and cardiovascular disease
Objectives:
Currently, cardiovascular disease is one of the main causes of mortality and morbidity in Western developed countries, being the cause of around 50% of deaths in the population of these countries. There are various risk factors that increase the probability of suffering from cardiovascular disease, among which we can differentiate non-modifiable ones, which include variables such as age, sex or genetic factors, and other modifiable ones, of greater interest, such as high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia.
The main objective of this course is to address the latest advances being made in lipid metabolism research and its importance in the development of cardiovascular disease.
Aimed at:
Health professionals and researchers who are interested in expanding their knowledge of lipid metabolism and cardiovascular disease.
